Guild Outreach Chair

This is a volunteer position that can be split into two Co-Chair Positions.  The Guild Outreach Chair serves on the SAAG Board of Directors.

Below is a list of tasks for this position.

  • Create monthly report for the Executive Board of Directors and report directly to the Treasurer on a regular basis

  • Attend monthly Board meetings

  • Oversee all Guild Outreach Coordinators

  • Compile the annual budget for Guild Outreach and submit it to the Executive Board of Directors

  • Approve all Guild Outreach expenditures and send appropriate information to the Bookkeeper

  • Ensure Coordinators collaborate with the Guild Marketing Chair, Website & Calendar Manager, Advertising Coordinator, Newsletter Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, and Center Marketing Coordinator to advertise Outreach opportunities to members, non-members/patrons, and the public

  • Actively develop relationships with Southern Arizona businesses, schools, art organizations, and other nonprofits in an effort to help build community between SAAG and the public

  • Actively solicit sponsorship for outreach activities. Maintain sponsor information, contracts, and collaborate with the Advertising Coordinator, Newsletter Coordinator, and Center Marketing Coordinator to offer advertisement opportunities to our sponsors

  • Develop new ideas to engage the public in SAAG activities

  • Assist with awarding scholarships and the development of Friends of SAAG, Emerging Artists and Donations programs

  • Collaborate and communicate with other Board members to ensure the success of the Guild and Gallery

  • Develop training materials for the Guild Outreach Chair position

  • Actively recruit new members of all ages and walks of life
