CALL TO ARTISTS: Expression Against Repression #4: Sustainable Futures
Tucson Artists Protest, a grassroots coalition of artists, and EarthSeed Rising Art Collective, an intergenerational Pan-African arts collective, announces an open call for participation in the fourth iteration of Expression Against Repression: Sustainable Futures #4 at The Wilson Barn, Oracle, AZ.
We believe art plants the seeds for change. In times of social, political, and personal constraint, creative expression becomes an act of resistance, witnessing, and care. This exhibition centers on work that speaks to the multiple aspects of sustainable futures and celebrates the power of artists to imagine alternatives.
Even if your work is not usually considered “political,” we encourage you to participate. If something about sustainable futures has been weighing on you, try expressing it through your art. Speaking up with your art can generate internal and external dialogues to help you, or someone else, see various points of view and opportunities to create sustainable futures.
All mediums are welcome. We encourage submissions from artists of all backgrounds and experience levels.
