President
This is a volunteer position that can be split into two Co-President positions. The office of the President is filled by election of the current SAAG membership in March.
Below is a list of tasks for this position.
Preside at all membership, Executive Board of Directors, and monthly Board of Directors meetings
Reserve the right to call any special membership, committee, Board of Directors, or Executive Board of Directors meetings deemed necessary
Establish a quorum and call meetings to order
Cast one vote on matters of business
Assist in designating Chairpersons to serve on the Board of Directors
Uphold SAAG Bylaws and assist in changes to the Bylaws as needed
Sign official SAAG documents as needed
Sign checks at the request of or in the absence of the Treasurer
Oversee the Gallery Branch of the Board of Directors including, but not limited to, the Gallery Manager, Reconciliation Manager, Operations & Property Manager, Supply Coordinator, Cashier Trainers, Free Drawing Coordinator, Merchandise Manager, POS & Inventory Manager, Shift Calendar Manager, Printing Coordinator, Gallery Facebook Coordinator, Sling Art Coordinator, Jewelry Coordinator, and Card Coordinator
Write the President's letter for the monthly Newsletter
Review all information published in the Member and Patron Newsletters
Collaborate with all members of the Executive Board and Board of Directors to ensure the success of the Guild and Gallery
Perform duties incidental to the office of the President
Orient the new President as needed
Actively recruit new members of all ages and walks of life
