Emerging Artists Coordinator

This is a volunteer position and can be split into two Co-Coordinator positions.

Below is a list of tasks for this position.

• Develop protocol and procedures for recruiting and showing artwork by Emerging Artists from Southern Arizona

• Build relationships with local K-12 schools, art schools, community colleges, and universities to create opportunities to display and promote art students' work. 

• Collaborate with the Scholarship Coordinator

• Plan special Gallery showings with the Events Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator

• Collaborate with the Gallery Manager and Merchandising Manager to determine the best way to display artwork for the Emerging Artist program

• Work with the Advertising Coordinator, Newsletter Coordinator, and Center Marketing Coordinator to create flyers and other material to highlight Emerging Artists in the Guild and Gallery to members, non-members/patrons, and the public

• Develop training materials for the Emerging Artists Coordinator position and train a member as a backup

• Actively recruit new members of all ages and walks of life

• Report to the Guild Outreach Chair
