Workshop Manager

Below is a list of tasks for this position.

  • Manage all workshops

  • Maintain the Workshop Application and update it as needed with the Website & Calendar Manager

  • Accept, review, and approve Workshop applications

  • Develop workshop policies and procedures

  • Recruit instructors and provide a variety of classes

  • Schedule classes and maintain Workshop Calendar

  • Develop an annual Workshop budget and submit it to the Guild Outreach Chair

  • Maintain paperwork regarding workshops such as applications, payment request forms, policies, and gift certificates

  • Coordinate with Guild Marketing Chair, Website & Calendar Manager, Advertising Coordinator, Newsletter Coordinator, and Center Marketing Coordinator to promote classes to members and non-members/patrons

  • Work with instructors to create Workshop and related Newsletter copy for promotional materials

  • Communicate through phone calls and emails with customers, instructors, and Gallery workers to answer questions and help with registration issues

  • Coordinate with the Bookkeeper on workshop payments, refunds, gift certificates, and instructor payments

  • Correspond with the Bookkeeper and the Website & Calendar Manager to ensure all class registrations are recorded into the website system

  • Develop training materials for the Workshop Manager position and train a member as a backup

  • Actively recruit new members of all ages and walks of life

  • Report to the Guild Outreach Chair
