“The goal of the SAAG Events Committee is to encourage and help manage public events in the SAAG Gallery that will bring members of the public into the gallery to shop and learn and to forge liaisons with other Tucson area organizations to strengthen the missions of all collaborating groups.”

To that end, we sponsor monthly First Friday "Art & Appetizers"  that highlight specific artists to draw people to the gallery, we seek out and encourage special groups such as Long Realty, Executive Women International. the JCC and OLL, to use our gallery space free of charge for their private events and we sponsor and support larger special events such as "Art, Fashion Fusion,"  a fashion show featuring our fellow shops' fashions paired with our art. We look for a few active, creative members with ideas for drawing more customers to our gallery through educational and interactive events.

Here’s what they do:

*Contact members who have not renewed membership after the deadline date to try and encourage them to renew

*Assess monthly membership numbers for each month's board meeting

*Be a contact for SAAG members to apply to do demos during shows at the Gallery and the mall and produce a list of artists who will do demos for each time slot with description of the demo to be performed

*Answer questions from new members or potential members regarding the SAAG guild and gallery
