POS & Inventory Manager

This is a paid position and is currently filled.

Below is a list of tasks for this position.

  • Manage and update the Square POS (Point of Sale) system and the Artist Inventory Workbook system 

  • Coordinate with the Merchandising Manager to get contact information for the Gallery artists in the current session

  • Provide artists with instructions for the Artist Inventory Workbook

  • Collect artist’s inventory changes and update the Square POS and Inventory systems three times per week or as needed for special events or during the holiday seasons

  • Manage and update Google Sheets

    • Artist Inventory Workbooks

    • FAQ content

    • Item History Archives

    • Gallery Hard Copies

    • Price and Wall Label Templates

    • Perform end of session cleanups and coordinate with Bookkeeper to archive old records and replace with new hardcopies

  • Manage and develop embedded scripts and Admin Dashboard scripts to allow for easier uploads and syncing between the Square POS and Inventory Systems

  • Work with the Reconciliation Manager to apply corrections to the Square POS and Inventory Systems as needed

    • Communicate reconciliation corrections with artists as needed

  • Coordinate with the Bookkeeper and the Gallery Manager on questions, concerns, or issues that may arise with the Square POS and Inventory Systems

  • Act as Gallery Tech and Artist Inventory Support

  • Develop training material for all Gallery artists on the Square POS and Inventory systems

  • Develop training materials for the POS Inventory Manager position and train a member as a backup

  • Actively recruit new members of all ages and walks of life

  • Report to the Gallery Manager
