Exhibits Coordinator

This is a volunteer position and can be split into two Co-Coordinator positions.

Below is a list of tasks for this position.

  • Recruit new and encourage current members to participate in Guild Exhibitions

  • Actively seek out new Exhibition locations

  • Manage and update an annual Exhibition Calendar

  • Develop an annual Exhibitions budget and submit it to the Guild Outreach Chair

  • Meet with management at the Exhibition locations

  • Follow and fairly administer the SAAG Exhibition Criteria for each Exhibition location 

  • Create flyers and other exhibition material with the Advertising Coordinator and Newsletter Coordinator to advertise the Exhibition to the members, non-members/patrons, and the public

  • Maintain the Exhibition Application and update it as needed with the Website & Calendar Manager

  • Recruit jurors and judges from Guild membership

  • Schedule and arrange for refreshments at the Exhibition location for the artist’s reception

  • Award winners of the Exhibitions

  • Arrange necessary payments for winners, judges, and other Exhibition costs with the Bookkeeper

  • Develop training materials for the Exhibits Coordinator position and train a member as a backup

  • Actively recruit new members of all ages and walks of life

  • Report to the Guild Outreach Chair
