Artist Statement

I am a retired professional Dancer/ Educator, still captivated by the flow and movement of color. I prefer the non- representational form, letting color flow on canvas, creating dimension and depth. My intention is to create a mood or emotional response, drawing the viewer in, allowing them to find something new each time they look at the painting. It is a joyous experience to create a dance with paint on canvas. I’m not limited by the gravitational pull. I can soar with pigment, light and texture to create dynamic images.
